 Since the 15th century this holiday of giving flowers, sweets and cards hasn't changed much.  Decorating a "love" table can be exciting in anticipation of who the guest will be.  It's an opportunity to get as fancy or as frilly as you like. Using traditional Valentine colors of red and pink for the tablecloth and table skirt set a soft background for the vintage plates and modern decorations. Silver accent pieces add a bit of glamour.  TIP: Whether you're decorating for fun, flirtation or romance, keep the ambiance soft and flirty. Fun and Festive Holiday Tables

 Bring a festive feel to your occasion inexpensively with a colorful table skirt and valance.  Here I use a Christmas color theme for the party table. I add two size valances, 11-inches and an 8-inch, in red and green to a base white skirt. If renting tables, a great way to hide ugly metal legs is with table skirts. if just the top needs hiding, add a table cover. Or, dress it up using your own linen table cloths mixed with plastic table skirts. TIP: Use 3 colors to add dimension.
